Get Rid of Flabby Arms – Useful Exercises to Eliminate Fat

A common body issue that many people seek to resolve is flabby arms. Women and people of a certain age seem to encounter this issue quite frequently and wish to find ways to get rid of flabby arms. It is part of a woman’s natural tendency to store fat in the arms, hips and buttocks while men will store extra fat in the stomach area. One effective way to eliminate flabby arms is to develop the triceps muscles. These are the muscles that provide the needed strength and support to prevent the bottom of the arms from sagging. The inclusion of specific exercises that target this area of the arm in a comprehensive fitness regimen will remove the extra flab.

The first exercise that you should perform is overhead triceps presses while you are seated. Sit on a solid bench that will support your back. Use a dumbbell of the appropriate weight and lift it above your head with both hands. Keeping your back erect and straight, grab one end of the dumbbell and lower it behind your head. Take a breath in as you slowly bend your lower arms backward. Rest for a second and then slowly extend your arms upward and exhale. The next exercise in your endeavor to get rid of flabby arms is the one hand cable extensions. This exercise will require the use of a cable machine. Using an appropriate handle, grab the bar with one hand and keep your palm facing upwards. Allow enough slack in the cable so that your hand is level with your chin. Pull downward and exhale until you straighten out your arm. The elbow should remain locked at all times. Lift your lower arm back as you inhale and keep the upper arm in a stationary position. Allow your triceps to contract when you return to the starting position.

One more exercise that is effective in helping you get rid of flabby arms is the dumbbell floor press. Lay flat on the ground while holding a dumbbell in each hand. Extend your arms upwards and inhale as you bring the arms downward, touching the ground with your elbows. Fully extend your arms up while exhaling your breath. Continue until your triceps are feeling fatigued. These exercises, combined with various dips, bench presses and push up workouts will help you eliminate the extra fat stored in the bottom of your arms.
